British Steel port operation to be taken over by ABP in major deal to help support long-term future of steelmaking

The deal will see Associated British Ports invest £65 million into the Immingham Bulk Terminal while taking over the operation of the facility, which handles millions of tonnes of cargoes destined for British Steel’s Scunthorpe works

A £65 million investment is set to be made as part of a major deal designed to help support the long-term future of steelmaking in the Humber region.

Associated British Ports (ABP) is to invest the money into Immingham Bulk Terminal, after agreeing a major new deal with British Steel that will see it take over the raw material handling operations.
