A power outage at Liverpool Port which caused delays and congestion for hauliers at Liverpool2 has seen a backlog of containers and gate times extended to 24 hours.

The outage on Tuesday 31 July, which affected the IT systems operating the port’s container terminals and saw operations suspended at the GB£400m deepwater Liverpool2 terminal, has now been fixed and operations resumed.
