Port of Blyth is to host it’s latest Annual Public Meeting online next week as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the uncertainty brought on by COVID-19, the Port greatly values the input of all our stakeholders at the event and therefore believes that it is important it goes ahead – just in a different form.
Scheduled for Wednesday 20th May, the meeting will take place via Zoom webinar and is designed to give those with business and community interests in Blyth information on the performance of the Port in 2019 as well as sharing exciting plans for the future.
As a Trust Port, Port of Blyth is an independent organisation – neither privately nor publicly owned, and instead serves a wide range of stakeholders and routinely reinvests profits back into the company, as well as supporting numerous good causes through its community engagement programme.
The event will include a presentation on the performance of the port during 2019 including financial results, as well as the launch of both the Port’s Annual Review 2019 and its latest promotional film.
A live Q&A with Chief Executive Martin Lawlor and Chair of the Board of Commissioners Geoff Hodgson, will offer stakeholders the opportunity to ask questions on any aspect of Port activity. Questions are encouraged and will be accepted beforehand via email to [email protected].
The Annual Public Meeting is open to anyone who would like to attend via registration beforehand. Accessing Zoom is very straight forward via your internet browser or the free app for your phone or computer, with no requirement to create an account.
