Propelling world trade

The maritime world comes to London to do business!

London International Shipping Week, the week-long premier global shipping and maritime event, will be held during the week of September 13-17, 2021.

LISW21 will be the ‘must attend’ event of 2021, offering up to 250 industry functions and unique networking opportunities for leaders across all sectors of the international shipping industry. The sell-out one-day LISW21 Conference and Gala Dinner will attract the very highest-level government and shipping industry leaders from the UK and around the world to crown what promises to be another amazing week.

LISW21 CONFERENCE & GALA DINNER

Two of the most popular must-attend events taking place during London International Shipping Week in September 2021 will be the LISW21 Headline Conference and the LISW21 Gala Reception and Dinner.

The Headline Conference attracts the highest-level speakers from around the world, representing industry, shipping, government and academia. It also draws in an experienced, knowledgeable audience to discuss the key subjects that will be carefully selected and fine-tuned ahead of the event to ensure topicality and relevance. This will be one of the most timely, insightful and informative conferences ever.

London International Shipping Week’s Headline Conference is to be held at the impressive headquarters of the International Maritime Organization – the heart of global maritime regulation.

Taking place on Wednesday September 15 2021, the LISW21 Conference will feature a unique blend of in-person and online attendance, thereby attracting up to double the usual number of delegates who will come together to debate the most important issues facing the world’s shipping industry.

Our theme: Driving growth and recovery in a disrupted world

COVID-19 has taken the world by storm, yet it is only one of many challenges facing a global shipping industry already in flux. LISW21 will explore how the shipping industry can balance its post-COVID recovery against the mounting pressures and opportunities of de-globalisation, decarbonisation, and digitalisation, for the agile, sustainable progression of international trade.

The key drivers of Trade, Finance, Technology and People will be evident throughout the week’s events including the headline LISW21 Conference backed up by the important principles of Environment, Social, and Governance.

The Gala Reception and Dinner will take place on Thursday September 16 2021 and will provide one of the most spectacular black-tie events in the global maritime calendar, attracting well over 1,000 top-level VIPs from all sectors of government and industry.

Venue details for the Gala Dinner to be announced soon.
