Dr Heike Deggim, Director of the Maritime Safety Division at the International Maritime Organization, will share her insights on maritime safety as keynote speaker at the 2019 ICHCA International 20/20 Cargo Vision Conference & Exhibition. A marine engineer by training, Dr Deggim joined the IMO in 1993, having worked in the naval shipbuilding industry and later in various positions in the German Maritime Administration. Dr Deggim will also present the 3rd TT Club Innovation in Safety Award at the same event.

Hosted by Malta Freeport Terminals, the 2019 conference will bring institutional and industry stakeholders together to explore how to create safer, more sustainable and secure maritime cargo operations across land and sea. To be held in Malta, on 11-14 November 2019, the conference aims to develop mutual understanding, share experiences, explore innovation and review policy and regulation.
