Invite: Maritime Skills Commission’s Future Ports Workforce Research Launch – 28 March 2022

The modern port is a significantly different place to the port of history. It is increasingly shaped by forces such as globalisation of supply chains automation and digitisation. It is also shaped by external imperatives such as sustainability. We expect these trends to not only continue but to accelerate.

We invite you to the launch of the Maritime Skills Commission’s Future Ports Workforce Research on Monday 28 March from 11:30am. The panel will include:

  • Professor Graham Baldwin, Chair, Maritime Skills Commission (Moderator)
  • Richard Ballantyne, Chief Executive, British Ports Association
  • Debbie Cavaldoro, Chief Executive, Ports Skills and Safety
  • Iain Mackinnon, Secretary, Maritime Skills Alliance/Maritime Skills Commissioner
  • Tim Morris, Chief Executive, UK Major Ports Group
