Summary
This notice sets out dates for the IALA V103 courses and Local Port Services (LPS) courses programmed for UK Port and Harbour Authorities at MCA accredited training organisations between September 2021 and July 2022.
1. Introduction
1.1 Annex 1 to this notice sets out the V103 course and LPS course dates available between September 2021 and July 2022. The dates have been agreed and arranged following consultation with Tyne Coast College (formerly South Tyneside College), Blackpool and The Fylde College (Fleetwood Nautical Campus), the Port of London Authority and the Humber Training Academy.
1.2 Candidates should contact the training organisations directly as some of the dates contained in Annex 1 may be subject to short notice change. The VTS training organisations should also be consulted to determine any Accredited Prior Learning (APL) requirements especially with regards to non-marine applicants, if appropriate.
1.3 Further guidance can be obtained from the current Marine Guidance Note 434 Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) as amended – Training and Certification of VTS Personnel.
1.4 This information will be promulgated on an annual basis.
