The inaugural Women in Ports network will take place online on Tuesday 8 March – International Women’s Day. Women are under-represented in the ports sector and this network will provide a space to network, share issues or concerns and provide input into projects to increase diversity in UK ports.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is Break the Bias and women are encouraged to imagine life in a gender equal world. Therefore, this first session will discuss what measures members believe could make a real difference to breaking gender stereotypes in ports.

The meeting will hear from speakers including Maritime UK’s Head of Diversity, Chrissie Clarke, and other representatives of women in transport groups, to share theirs thoughts on driving change.

The meeting takes place via Teams on Tuesday 8 March from 10.00 until 12.00.
