UK MAJOR PORTS APOINTS SENIOR POLICY LEAD FOR ENVIRONMENT, SOCIAL AND GOVERNANACE PRIORITIES

The UK Major Ports Group(“UKMPG”), the trade association for the UK’s largest port operators, is pleased to announce today the appointment of Alex Pepper to the new role of Senior Policy Lead focused on Environment, Social and Governance (“ESG”) matters.

The creation of this role recognises both the importance of these areas to the sector and also the breadth of work involved. Alex joins UKMPG from Peel Ports, where her most recent role was as Group Head of Energy and Environment.Prior to joining Peel Ports Alex worked at Associated British Ports. With over 15 years’ experience in Energy, Environment and Sustainability roles with a focus on ports and maritime Alex brings a wealth of experience to the new role. Alex has a Master’s in Integrated Environmental Management, is an accredited EMS auditorand a Practitioner member of the Institute for Environmental Management & Assessment.
